1) Library Essentials  - Learn about library services, facilities and resources. Learn how to use the Library Portal to discover useful resources for study and research

2) Effective Search Skills  - Learn how to formulate effective search strategies and use library resources to find resources. Training can be customised for study and research needs.

3) Cite Using Mendeley - Learn how to use Mendeley- a free reference manager which is used to import, manage and insert citations for reports.

Project Advisory

Do your learners need help to find resources for their assignments and projects? Library provides project advisory to help learners kickstart their research. These sessions are typically conducted for small groups of 3-6.

Learners can request for this service via Library website

Copyright for Teaching

As educators, we sometimes need to curate and use copyrighted works. While the limitations of copying from books and journals are widely known, it will be good to familiarize ourselves with the educational exceptions covered by the Copyright Act.

For example, you want to upload one article from a journal to Blackboard as recommended reading for your students. This is allowed but the law also requires you to declare and complete a Record Form for institutional copying.

TIP: Make it a habit to submit a Record Form whenever the copied content is made available to a new group of students.

Here are more useful resources to get you started!

1) Copyright Guide - Learn more about Copyright basics, exceptions and more!

2) Copyright for Educators - Go through the e-learning module developed by Librarians.
